Dogfish Head, a Delaware-based brewing company, has turned the bus-cum-restaurant idea of a design student into reality.

The Dogfish Head Ale Bus was first conceptualized by Sam Petrella, 25, for a capstone program at the Universities at Shady Grove, the Washington Post reported.

Joe Hospital, a founder of Dogfish Ale House, said that his company was looking to expand their business, but they needed something new that also stayed true to the Dogfish brand and Petrella's rolling pub was just the thing they needed.

Petrella spent three months and tens of thousands of dollars to transform a former D.C. school bus into a mini pub.

Petrella said that he really wanted the bus, which seats up to 18 people and specializes in beer and food pairings, to reflect the company.
