NBC is working on a TV show, 'Problem Child,' which is based on John Ritter's 1990 film of the same name.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the half-hour single-camera comedy, which would focus on a problem child, was written by Scot Armstrong, and would be executive produced by Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan alongside Armstrong through their Universal Television-based TBD Productions.
The original film, starring Ritter and Amy Yasbeck, focused on the notorious problem child named Junior, played by Michael Oliver, whom they had adopted as a couple, who had previously been adopted, and had been brought back to the orphanage 30 times.
