A new robot named 'raptor' has been developed that could run almost as fast as the Boston Dymanics Cheetah, the fastest robot in the world.
The robot which has been created by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology can run for 26 miles an hour without falling over and can even jump over obstacles, Tech Crunch reported.
Researchers Jongwon Park, Jinyi Lee, Jinwoo Lee, Kyung-Soo Kim, and Professor Soohyun Kim recorded a video of the robot while running and were surprised to see raptor's reaction to the objects in the path.
It was established that the tail of the robot helps it balance on the run and it takes foam obstacles in stride, jumping over them or even leaning to the side to let them pass.
