The National Panthers Party (NPP) on Tuesday demanded strict action against those involved in the killing of cows.
"Strict action should be taken against those involved in the killing of cows. They should be arrested immediately and given punishment," NPP leader Harsh Dev Singh told ANI.
"It is mentioned in our law under Section 298 (A) that whoever will be involved in the killing of cows, will be given punishment of ten years. But in Jammu, under the BJP, people are being provoked to kill cows and videos are being uploaded on YouTube," he added.
Singh said it is an insult to the Hindu religion, which his party strongly condemns.
"We believe every religion must be given respect. The BJP is acting as a mute spectator. BJP does not have the right to be in the government, said Singh.
