NSA whistleblower Snowden's father tells him to find a 'safe haven'

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden's father reportedly told his son through Russia's national television to find a 'safe haven'.

According to the Fox News, Lon Snowden told his son that his family is well and hoped for his good health and safety.

Snowden who has been holed up at the Moscow airport's transit area is still awaiting the Russian government's response to his temporary asylum request in a bid to escape the US extradition.

The report added that Snowden's father hoped that his son would return home soon but insisted that there is no possibility for him to get a fair trial in the US and therefore agreed with his son's decision to remain in Russia.
