US President Barack Obama recently called only female reporters in his final news conference of the year.

Retired reporter Ann Compton, who covered the White House for 40 years, told ABC News that an all-female press conference at the White House had never happened before.

Obama said at the press conference that press secretary Josh Earnest had advised him "who's been naughty and who's been nice" and apparently the male reporters have misbehaved and then the president proceeded to call on eight women in a row.

Obama listed down their achievements of 2014 citing lower unemployment, a rising number of Americans covered by health insurance, and an historic diplomatic opening with Cuba.
