US President Barack Obama, who reportedly lost a bet to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper after Canada' hockey team beat the US team in the Olympics, has made his payment by sending White House-brewed beer to the country.
The Canadian government confirmed on Twitter they had received the payment for the bet from the US president, made on the gold medal match between the women's teams and semifinal match between the men's teams.
According to Politico, the world leaders had a case of beer on the line on each game, and with Canada's dual victories, the US was on the hook.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the cases contained White House-brewed beer, one Honey Porter and one Honey Blonde, the honey for which was procured from first lady Michelle Obama's White House garden.
