United States President Barack Obama has vowed to "respond proportionately" to an alleged cyber-attack by North Korea on Sony Pictures.
According to the BBC, Obama said that the studio made a mistake in cancelling the release of The Interview that is a satire which depicts the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
However, Sony said that it is still planning to release the movie "on a different platform".
The U.S. linked the cyber attack to North Korea on Friday after sensitive studio information was publicly released.
Sony had cancelled the movie's Christmas release after various cinemas refused to show it following anonymous threats.
Obama said that a terrorist attack cannot force Americans to change their patterns of behavior.
