The Olympics committee has banned the journalists attending the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia from using mobile phones and tablets to take pictures and share information of the events.
Head of the state-run R-Sport news agency, which controls accreditation at February's games, Vasily Konov said that the journalists using mobile phones to film athletes or spectators will be charged with serious violation and will result in cancellation of accreditation, Fox News reports.
According to the report, the ban will include all mobile devices and tablets, including iPhones and iPads.
Fans may even be banned from carrying in professional cameras as well, the report added.
