The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday criticised former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah for suggesting the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to snap ties with them and said that the National Conference (NC) leader had become restless as he can't stay away from power.
"Why is Omar Abdullah in such a hurry? Why cannot he be in peace? He has become restless after the CM's post was taken away from him. He can't stay away from power that is why his restlessness is increasing," BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh told ANI.
Omar had yesterday asked PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti to be bold enough to break alliance with the BJP if she is not ready to form the new government in the state.
The BJP had last week hinted that they were in favour of continuing the alliance with the PDP.
The stalemate over government formation in the state is continuing for the past four weeks after the demise of PDP patron and former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.
Jammu and Kashmir Governor N.N. Vohra had last week asked both the BJP and PDP to clear their stand on the government formation.
