Over one lakh households in Sikkim have opened bank accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY).
The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which has received a tremendous response in the state, now stands at a stunning 98.50 percent.
The banks, in this small mountainous state with a meagre population of little over six lakhs, have been successful not only in opening new accounts but also in mobilising handsome balance in the accounts that
