Australian fast bowler Clint McKay has said that he does not want to be left as a 'one-Test wonder' and admitted that he still harbours dreams of a Test recall.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, McKay has cemented his place in the national ODI side with his consistent performances and is ranked seventh in the world ODI bowling rankings, the only Australian in the top ten.

However, the cricketer appeared in the sole Test appearance of his career till now when he was a late call-up against the West Indies in Perth in 2009 and has not been able to break back into the side since.

Although McKay admitted that his top priority is building towards the 2015 one-day World Cup, as he loves playing one-day cricket for Australia, he, however, revealed that he wants to play more than the sole Test he had played in, adding that he is doing everything in his power to make that wish a reality.

However, McKay reflected that even if he does not manage to make the cut for the Test squad, he would be content with the fact that he has given his best shot as he is aware that it would be a huge challenge to break into a Test squad given the depth in Australia's bowling stocks.

McKay had spent the two months between Australia's Champions Trophy campaign and the one-day series in England embarking on a personal pre-season training program, and he believes that his consistency and accuracy could be an asset to the side even though he is not as gifted in pace as youngsters like James Pattinson, Mitchell Starc and the like.

McKay also said that he believes that in the right conditions, he has got something to offer in Test cricket, with the report adding that McKay is likely to lead the pace attack alongside Mitchell Johnson when the five-match one-day series against England begins belatedly in Manchester on Sunday.
