Online music streaming service Rdio has launched a series of new curated stations by record labels and influencers.
According to thenextweb.com, Rdio says that its in-house music team has collaborated directly with the new curators to put together recommendations that represent the records that are exciting 'local tastemakers'.
The stations are launching for the first time in Australia, Mexico, Brazil, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
Additional stations have been added in the US, Canada and the UK.
Rdio says they are open to all users that are free, select, and unlimited.
The users will find the label and influencer stations in the same place as Rdio's streams based on genre, mood and activity on the 'Stations' tab.
Also, Rdio has developed a self-explanatorily named tool to build the new stations called Rdio DJ, which lets labels and influencers' curate and share them.
The new stations include Blue Note, James Murphy's DFA Records and XL Recordings, home to The XX and FKA twigs among others.
