Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Jitendra Singh on Saturday said the onus lies on Pakistan to prove India's contention that Islamabad is fanning and sponsoring terror activities on Indian soil.

"Time and again it's been reiterated by the Indian side that Pakistan is involved in terror activities happening on the Indian side, including Jammu and Kashmir. From time to time we have been providing evidence to the Islamabad authorities. The onus lies on Islamabad to show to the world that what evidence is being provided by India is untrue," Singh said.

"We live in an evidence-based age and an evidence-based era. Any suggestions, any complaint or any narrative put forward has to be supported by adequate evidence. Without it, it has no meaning," he added.

Singh asserted that India's policy in dealing with terrorism and all kinds of sponsored militant activities on Indian soil is of zero tolerance.

"The Indian agency and authorities and the concerned departments are adequately equipped to deal with any kind of terror activity in the Indian soil. As far as political disposition of the present government is concerned there is absolutely no ambiguity as far as the policy towards terror is concerned," he added.

Commenting on the statement by Sartaj Aziz, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's Advisor on Foreign Affair, on India's alleged involvement in creating unrest in Pakistan, Singh said, "The kind of clarity that the political dispensation is presenting to the concerned authorities, there should not be any difficulties in terror activity happening on Indian soil.
