Oprah Winfrey has revealed that she is very happy with the fact that the time has come for people to embrace films that deal with subject of slavery and civil rights issues.
The talk show queen, who stars as a White House butler's wife in Lee Daniels-helmed 'The Butler', told the BBC that everything has its time and she is excited about the fact that many civil rights-based films are releasing soon.
Talking about her upcoming flick, the 59-year-old star said that the movie is an important story for our time and particularly for young people who won't read the history.
She added that she recognises the importance of knowing who you are and where you come from.
