'Shades Of Blue' pilot episode starring Jennifer Lopez will be directed by Academy Award winner Barry Levinson for NBC.
The 45-year-old musician will also executively produce the NBC drama series with Ryan Seacrest, Deadline.com reported.
The pilot episode is penned by Adi Hasak, who scripted 'From Paris With Love' and Jack Orman is expected to serve as executive producer/showrunner for the show.
The series will revolve around on Harlee McCord played by Lopez, a single mother and detective who is recruited to work undercover for the FBI's anti-corruption task force.
Production of the show is slated to begin shooting next summer in New York.
