An Australian businessman has got the approval to build the world's biggest dinosaur park at his resort property.

According to local news, Clive Palmer's initial proposal was met with nearly 200 objections - like worries over noise and the unsightliness of the replicas - however, the Sunshine Coast regional council decided that the park will help bring more customers to the resort, the Huffington Post reported.

The park has been allowed to have 160 robotic replicas on display at the grounds.

Palmer already ordered 117 animatronic dinosaurs in April before his plans had been approved.

The new dinosaurs are set to join the many that have been erected at the resort, which includes a 28-foot Tyrannosaurus rex called 'Jeff.'

The Courier-Mail reported that the replicas are going to be restricted to a fenced-in area, which encompasses 3.2 acres of the 370.6-acre resort.

Palmer's plans have been scaled back from his original more extravagant proposal.
