England and Australia have already started to come at odds with each other behind the scenes ahead of the winter Ashes series with the tourists reportedly having a series of demands rejected in Brisbane before the first Test.
Although Andy Flower's men will arrive in Queensland on Sunday having meticulously planned every facet of its visit in an effort to retain the Ashes urn for a fourth successive series against Australia, they will not find everything laid out neatly as they desired.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, England's requests for having centre-wicket practice before the first day of the series at the Gabba, a qualified umpire and scorer at their training sessions and access to train at the Gabba in the mornings instead of the afternoon have been blocked with no ground available at short notice for centre-wicket training.
The report also mentioned that Australia, as the host nation, is unwilling to hand over an advantage to England by ceding to their training-time demands, adding that in another development, England's unprecedented list of dietary demands will not be dished out to them exactly as they hoped.
According to Australia's catering staff, they would not prepare the foods mentioned in the whole booklet, adding that Australia had not provided specified menus and recipes like England but only guidelines for what food they wanted.
