Following Australian team's recent victory over South Africa, Shane Watson's chances of making a come back looks grim.

The 281-run victory led by Mitchell Johnson was reportedly achieved without Watson who ran on the last day and is yet to prove his fitness ahead of the second Test scheduled in Port Elizabeth.

Watson gave a chance to Shaun Marsh when he strained a calf in the lead-up to the first game, while Michael Clarke said that he doubted Alex Doolan would play a better knock in his career than the 89 in the second innings of his debut Test, News.com.au reported.

Coach Darren Lehmann said that it's always very hard to fit him in when the team is winning, adding that though he didn't like to change the side too much, he will have to wait and see if Watson was fit and ready to go.
