Australia's women cricketers have made a demand to establish a women's Big Bash League, and believe that quality players from around the world could be attracted.

According to news.com.au, Southern Stars vice-captain Alex Blackwell expressed that there was not such a league even in India and Australia was a great place to launch something of this sort.

Australia's men earn a minimum of 235,000 dollars a year, not including match payments, which are as high as 14,000 dollars for a home Test match, the report said.

A law student said that it was tough for the women's game because it was not bringing in the same money as the men's game did.
