Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta has admitted that the club is hoping that Chelsea would drop some points in their upcoming clash against Liverpool as boss Manuel Pellegrini's squad is not ready to give up their Premier League title hopes.
Zabaleta said that City, who face Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash on Sunday, would see what happens with Chelsea and Liverpool, as they could hopefully drop some points which would be great for Pellegrini's men and give them a chance to close the gap with a win at Palace.
Zabaleta said that City just needs a good rest this week because they know how difficult it is to play Palace in a away game, adding that their rivals are in a great moment, the Daily Express reported.
However, the Argentine said that City still has belief, as one never knows what can happen in football, adding that Liverpool has three games until the end and they have got four.
Zabaleta also said that if Brendan Rodgers' side drops any points, City has got a chance to win the league title if they win all four of their remaining games.
City will face Palace on Sunday and could reportedly end up nine points behind Liverpool with two games in hand if Rodgers' side beats Chelsea during their Premier League clash.
City are currently placed at the third position in the league table just a point behind second placed Chelsea and six points adrift of leaders Liverpool, the report added.
