Indian tennis ace Leander Paes and his German partner Andre Begemann have booked their place in the quarter-finals of the St. Petersburg Open after clinching straight sets victories in the men's doubles event here on Thursday.
The Indo-German pair brushed aside Serbian duo of Janko Tipsarevic and Viktor Troicki 6-2, 6-4 in a last-16 contest.
With the win, Peas and Begemann have now set up a clash against the Indian duo of Purav Raja and Divij Sharan, who made it to the last eight following a 6-4, 6-4 win over Argentine-Chinese pair of Andres Molteni and Hans Podlipnik-Castill.
