Pakistani film actor Meera has announced that she will be constructing a charity hospital in the name of her mother in Haroonabad, which will cater to a million residents of the area.
The hospital, Darul Shafqat, is aiming to provide low-cost health care in District Bahawalnagar and the nearby rural areas, the Express Tribune reported.
As per the initial plans, the hospital will o be constructed on the land donated by people in Haroonabad, and is going to be equipped with over five hundred beds.
Meera is also planning to make a movie based on the lives of people in Haroonabad and their need for a new hospital.
According to Meera, the movie would be screened internationally to raise funds for the hospital.
Meera's mother is a philanthropist in her own right and runs a charity organization that helps in providing vocational and technical training to women from impoverished communities.
