Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif, who is currently on an official visit of the United Kingdom (UK), met British Home Secretary Theresa May here on Friday.
According to a tweet by Lt. General Asim Bajwa, Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), which is the media wing of the Pakistan armed forces, General Sharif asked Home Secretary May to play a role in ensuring an end to the global financing and communication of terrorists allegedly based in Pakistan and beyond its immediate borders.
"#COAS met UK's permanent Home Secretary. Asks UK to play role in checking intl financing & communication of terrorists," Lt. General Bajwa said in his tweet.
General Raheel Sharif is on a three-day visit of the UK.
