Pakistan's Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry will not be hearing an appeal against post-arrest bail granted to retired General Pervez Musharraf.

Chaudhry has recused himself from the bench hearing the appeal against post-arrest bail granted to Musharraf by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in relation to detention of judges after the proclamation of emergency on November 3, 2007.

According to Dawn News, the chief justice said that he will not hear the plea for cancelling the bail granted by the high court.

He directed the Supreme Court's office to send the case filed by advocate Aslam Ghumman to another bench.
