Pakistan has regained fourth position on the ICC Test Team Rankings table after being involved in a 1-1 series draw against South Africa in the two-match series, which concluded in Dubai, UAE on Saturday.
According to The Daily Times, Pakistan was assured of the position after they won the first Test in Abu Dhabi by seven wickets to take a 1-0 lead.
However, Pakistan lost the second and final Test by an innings and 92 runs, and, as such, the series ended in a one-all draw, the report said.
The result, nevertheless, meant Pakistan gained five ratings points to leapfrog Australia and the West Indies into fourth position on 102 ratings points, while South Africa retained their number-one spot but dropped four ratings points, the report added.
