Pakistan's Former defence minister Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar has denied that he had ever made the remark that Osama Bin Laden's presence in Pakistan was known to the establishment.
According to The Nation, Ahmad, while talking to a private news channel, said that Indian media has misquoted his clips and taken his statement out of context.
He said if the Pakistan Government knew that Osama was residing in the Abbottabad, action would have been taken immediately.
Earlier, CNN-IBN had broadcasted an interview of Mukhtar in which he stated that then Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Army Chief General Kayani and other officials had prior information about Osama's whereabout.
