Pakistan has underscored the need for early commencement of comprehensive dialogue with India during the talks held between the Foreign Secretaries of both countries in New Delhi today.
Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry, who met his Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar on the sidelines of Heart of Asia conference here, expressed confidence that the two countries should remain committed to a sustained, meaningful and comprehensive dialogue process building on the goodwill generated by the recent high-level contacts.
In this spirit, Chaudhry underscored the need for early commencement of comprehensive dialogue for which the Indian Foreign Secretary's visit to Pakistan is due.
The Pakistan Foreign Secretary discussed all outstanding issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, with his Indian counterpart.
He emphasized that Kashmir remains the core issue that requires a just solution, in accordance with the UNSC resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people.
Chaudhry also took up the matter of capture of RAW officer Kulbushan Jadev.

Expressing serious concern over the RAW's involvement in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi, he said such acts undermine efforts to normalize relations between the two countries.
The Pakistan Foreign Secretary conveyed concern over the efforts by the Indian authorities for the release of the prime suspects of the Samjhauta Express blasts.
The meeting provided a useful opportunity to exchange views on recent developments in bilateral context.
