Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said that Pakistan is 'fully prepared' to thwart any amount of aggression from India.

According to the Dawn, the army has reviewed its operational plans along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary in the wake of the repeated ceasefire violations and is ready to respond to an entire spectrum of threat involved in India's alleged support to militant groups inside the country.

The army has been accusing India of fomenting unrest in Balochistan, FATA and Karachi.

In fact, the reaction came as three civilians were killed and 22 others injured in a series of unprovoked firing by Indian security forces on villages along the Working Boundary area.

Tensions along the border between the two nations have escalated despite an hour-long meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Ufa, Russia on July 10.

A border ceasefire agreement was signed by the neighbours in 2003, but both frequently accuse each other of breaching it.
