Pakistan is reportedly planning to ask Saudi Arabia for help in facilitating a peace deal with the militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The government is going to explore the possibility of Riyadh's role in the peace dialogue with the Taliban during a meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al Faisal, the Express Tribune reports.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government has been struggling to revive the peace efforts with the group ever since the killing of TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud in a drone strike in November last year.
According to the report, Mehsud's successor Mullah Fazlullah has so far refused to respond to the government's peace efforts.
