Pak, India agree to release prisoners who have completed sentences

Pakistan and India have agreed to release prisoners, who have completed their sentence.

The agreement was reached at a meeting between the officers of Pakistan and Indian border forces at Wagah border.

Pakistan's Rangers DG Major General Tahir Javed Khan met the Indian BSF chief Subhas Joshi and agreed on joint patrolling of the borders to halt smuggling and illegal movement along the Line of Control (LoC), the Daily Times reports.

The meeting was held a day after director general military operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan met for the first time after 14 years.
