Pakistan's ministry of interior has reportedly issued visas to Indian team for the second Asian Team Event and third 6-Reds Snooker Championships, which cues off at Hotel Avari Towers on Sunday.
An official of Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF) reportedly revealed that the visas have been issued to Indian team on Wednesday evening.
He said that six Indian cueists are expected to reach Pakistan on Saturday to feature in the event that will add colour to the weeklong contests, The Dawn reported.
The official said that Yasin Merchant, a former Asian champion, who was to arrive with the team, will not be coming now due to demise of his father in Mumbai recently.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has pulled out from the event and has sent its regret.
Joseph Lo, chief referee of the event, was the first to arrive in Pakistan for the event from Hong Kong on Thursday, the report added.
