ANI New York

Axact, one of Pakistan's biggest IT companies, has been accused of being involved in a fake university degree scam.

According to the New York Times, the Axact websites offer online degrees in various courses like civil engineering and nursing. There are also huge endorsements on the website that boast of one of the

"most renowned faculties in the world".

The university campus is restricted to computer servers and the degrees have no true accreditation.

Yasir Jamshaid, a quality control official who left Axact in October said it is not a company, as customers believe, and was only about money.

Meanwhile, Axact authorities have responded to a list of detailed questions by rejecting all accusations, terming them "baseless, substandard, maligning, and defamatory".
