Pakistan's Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that dictatorships have always ruined nations and democracy salvages them.

According to the express Tribune, Rashid said after attending a seminar on interfaith harmony that he was surprised at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's statement that Pakistan could not have a good dictator who could have transformed the nation.

Giving examples of Germany under Adolf Hitler and Iraq under Saddam Hussein, Rashid said that dictatorships have always destroyed countries, as the entire world knows.

He urged Khan to answer as to who he thought was a good dictator among Hitler, Mussolini, Saddam and General Franco.

Rashid also said that Pakistan would soon become a peaceful nation and the launch Zarb-e-Azb operation was the starting point of the process.
