A Pakistani minister lashing out at the Taliban has questioned if slaughtering 23 paramilitary personnel were in accordance with the Islamic Sharia.

Information Minister Pervez Rashid slammed the Taliban's action and referred to the 1971's war against India.

Rashid said that even Pakistan's rival country treated 90,000 Pakistani war captives in accordance with the Geneva Convention and did not behead even a single soldier, Dawn News reports.

According to the report, speaking to media representatives, he criticised the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) leadership for the inhuman killing of the captive Frontier Cops (FC) soldiers.
