Adviser to the Pakistani Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that the country should not target militants who do not pose a threat to national security.

According to Dawn, Aziz also said that America's enemies should not unnecessarily become Pakistan's enemies as well.

Militants who were trained and armed were pushed towards Pakistan when the United States attacked Afghanistan, said Aziz.

He added that some of them were dangerous for the country while others were not.

Pointing to Afghan Taliban, Aziz asserted that they were not Pakistan's problem and that it was Afghan government's job to negotiate with them.
