Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and his bowlers produced a sparkling performance on Friday to steer Pakistan to a commanding position at stumps on day three of the second and final Test match in Dhaka.
Holding a 486-run lead, Pakistan would start as favourites on the fourth day as the tourists need nine more wickets to clinch their first victory in otherwise miserable tour.
At the end of third day, Bangladesh made 63-1, with Mominul Haque and Tamim Iqbal remaining unbeaten on 15 and 32 respectively.
Resuming at the overnight position of 107-5, Bangladesh lost their remaining five wickets in quick succession to eventually bundle out for 203. Shakib Al Hasan was the lone bright spot for Bangladesh as he remained unbeaten on 82.
Yasir Shah and Wahab Riaz were the pick of the bowlers as both scalped three wickets each.
In spite of having a handsome lead of 354, Pakistan opted to bat again instead of asking opponents to follow-on, and subsequently declared their second innings at 195-6, thanks to an aggressive batting display from Misbah, who smacked a brisk 82 to help his side set a mammoth overall target of 550.
