Pak placed twelfth amongst countries facing extreme political risk

A report on countries facing extreme political risks has placed Pakistan in the twelfth position in the list.

According to Dawn News, the report titled 'Political Risk Atlas 2015' focuses on nearly 200 countries that are facing political risks.

Released by Verisk Maplecroft, the atlas has scored 198 countries on 54 political risks to enable international organisations to identify risks to their operations, investments and supply chains.

The names of the ten nations placed under the 'extreme risk' category are given below.

Somalia has retained its position as the country with the highest risk, Syria is in second place, followed by Central African Republic (third), South Sudan (fourth), Iraq (fifth), Libya (sixth), Afghanistan (seventh), DR Congo (eighth), Sudan (ninth) and Yemen (10th).
