Pak prayer leader sentenced to 10 years in jail for delivering hate speech

An anti-terrorism court in Pakistan has given a 10-year and four months jail term to a prayer leader of a mosque at Qaimpur town for delivering a hate speech.

According to Dawn News, Maulana Abdul Ghani was also fined Rs seven lakhs.

He was arrested by the Qaimpur Police after he delivered the speech against a sect about two months back.

Meanwhile, the court announced its verdict in four other cases pertaining to the distribution of hate literature.
