Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Qatar's Defence Minister, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah to discuss matters of regional security and enhance bilateral defence cooperation.
General Bajwa is on an official visit to Qatar.
Appreciating professional standing and performance of Pakistan Army, Al-Attiyah expressed his desire for increased Pakistan-Qatar defence collaboration.
General Bajwa also met Qatar Armed Forces Chief Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanim Bin Shaheen Al Ghanim.
Lieutenant General Ghanim acknowledged Pakistan Army's valuable contributions towards regional peace and stability through its fight against terrorism and militancy.
General Bajwa thanked both dignitaries for their expressions.

He said Pakistan Army greatly values its defence cooperation and collaboration with Qatar.
Responding to desire of increasing Pak-Qatar defence cooperation, the Pakistan Army chief said that the proposed enhancement will have positive impact both on bilateral relationship as well as on regional security.
