As the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel took the cleanliness pledge and participated in the 'Swacch Bharat Abhiyan' by cleaning the R.S. Pura border post on Thursday, Pakistan Rangers across the border were also seen cleaning their Inayat post near R.S.Pura sector
"Swacch Bharat Abhiyan is going on in the country. We in BSF are organizing this cleanliness campaign in our all our offices, headquarters and border posts. We have decided to dedicate two hours a week for cleanliness which amounts to 100 hours in a year," said one of the BSF personnel.
Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Modi officially launched the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' from Rajpath, he also administered Swachh Bharat pledge and flagged-off Swachh Bharat walkathon.
The 'Swachh Bharat' campaign that has been launched nationwide focuses on sanitation, hygiene and waste management.
The launch was preceded by cleanliness campaign week beginning September 25 which saw central government offices being spruced up by discarding or overhauling old furniture and sending old files to record rooms.
