Former Counsel General to Karachi, Rajiv Dogra has termed Pakistan's Foreign Ministry's response to Prime Minister Modi's statements of a "proxy war" as "regrettable".
Speaking to ANI, Dogra said, "The statement made by the spokesperson of Pakistan's Foreign Ministry is regrettable for its language and choice of words. Pakistan's statement was very aggressively worded and meant to provoke, in response to Modi's statement, which was made out of sorrow over terrorism," adding that Pakistan's statement is meant as a challenge.
He also said that with the internal situation in Pakistan being so fragile, pointing towards their army's strength is a serious issue because they are not able to see any of their own shortcomings in conventional warfare.
He added that bilateral talks cannot take place when Pakistan's stance is so aggressive.
