The Pakistan Supreme Court has dismissed an application challenging the granting of bail to former president Pervez Musharraf by the Islamabad High Court.

Advocate Aslam Ghuman had challenged the granting of bail to Musharraf in judges' detention case with the contention that he was the main accused in the case.

According to the Daily Times, he had requested the apex court to cancel the bail and investigate Musharraf in the judges' detention case.

The case was heard by a two-judge bench comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan.

The court noted that as Ghuman, the applicant, was not available to follow up his application the application stands dismissed. Ghuman has left the country due to security reasons, the report added.
