Pakistan's Supreme Court on Tuesday took suo motu notice of the murder of a medical student in Kohat city.
A third-year medical student was shot dead in Kohat city of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province allegedly for refusing a marriage proposal.
According to the Dawn, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered that a report on the case be submitted to the court in the next 24 hours.
The victim had received three bullets and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries a day later.
On that note, in a separate hearing, the CJP reportedly remarked that the suspect is said to be a relative of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader.
