Pak security forces kill ten militants near military air bases in Quetta

Pakistan security forces killed ten militants after terror strike on Samungli and Khalid air bases in Quetta on Friday.

One injured militant was arrested and has been shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.

Balochistan police chief Muhammad Umlaish was quoted by the Dawn, as saying that the military operation in Quetta has ended.

He confirmed that eleven security personnel were injured during the operation that lasted for more than four hours. All injured were being treated in the Civil Military Hospital in Quetta cantonment.

He said eleven rocket launchers were recovered from the Khalid airbase while a huge quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from the Samungli airbase.

 

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the Samungli and Khalid airbases in Quetta have been cleared.

"All dead terrorists seem to be Uzbeks," Home Minister Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti told Dawn.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack so far.
