Former Pakistan T20I captain Shahid Afridi has said that the Pakistani team still has a long way to go and they are playing a very good cricket at the moment.
The comment came in the backdrop of recently-released International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 team rankings where Pakistan ended on top of the list.
"I think it's still a long way to go and I think the way our boys are playing is very good," the Express Tribune quoted Afridi, as saying.
"All the youngsters, they're doing a great job, and InshAllah we're hoping they're going to do well for Pakistan," he added.
Reflecting on the T20 format of cricket, the 38-year-old said that one can introduce the format anywhere in the world and it is a great entertainment for those who are not well aware of the nitty and gritty of the game.
Reviewing his own playing style, 'boom-boom Afridi' said that he considers himself as a bowler instead of a batsman.

"I always consider myself as a bowling all-rounder. I think in batting, I'm not that consistent, but in bowling, I am very consistent. When I started my cricket, I started as a bowler. So I think, I feel good and if you look into my performance I'm always very consistent with my bowling," he said.
Recently, Pakistan defeated Australia in the final of the T20I tri-series in Harare to register their ninth consecutive series victory.
