Taliban militants in Mohmand Agency have reportedly claimed that they killed 23 FC soldiers, who were abducted by the group in 2010 from Shongari checkpost in Mohmand Agency.

In a letter issued by the group on social media, the Mohmand Agency Taliban chief Umar Khalid Khurrasani, said that they killed the FC soldiers to avenge the custodial killing of Taliban fighters in various parts of Pakistan.

According to the Dawn, the letter that was written in Urdu and attributed to Umar Khalid Khurrasani, said that the Taliban had warned against the killings of their activists, but since the government continued with the killings, the group avenged the killing of their fighters by executing 23 FC soldiers.

The political administration or the FC authorities are yet to confirm the Mohmand agency Taliban's claims.
