ANI Islamabad

Pakistani Taliban has reportedly dismissed the peace talks, claiming that the government is planning a military operation despite denying use of force against the banned outfit.

Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said that Nawaz Sharif government is a puppet of the United States, like previous governments of Pakistan, and is powerless and dollar-hungry, Dawn News reports.

The TTP statement came as a sharp reaction to the government's announcement of using force against the militant group as a last resort to establish peace in the nation.

Shahid also threatened the government by saying that the insurgents were prepared for a battle, in case the government launches a military operation against them.
