Pak teen girl shot dead by uncle for listening to music

A sixteen-year-old Pakistani girl was shot to death by her uncle for listening to loud music on a tape-recorder.

According to Dawn News, the incident occurred in Pakistan's Matan Kallaan village located in tehsil Kallar Kahar of Chakwal district.

The girl's father said that his younger brother, Muhammad Gulistan, alias Gullu had come over to his house at 10am while he was gone for work.

At the time, his niece, Rihana Bibi, was listening to music on a tape-recorder with the volume turned up. A fight started between the duo when the girl refused to turn down the volume on his request, following which, he shot her.

 

A police official at Kallar Kahar Police Station said that the man had fired two bullets at the girl, out of which, one hit her in the head while the other pierced her face.

The official said that the girl died on the spot. The accused is on the run.
