Pakistan is reportedly setting up military courts to ensure speedy trials of terror suspects in the wake of the recent Peshawar school attack that left 132 children dead.
According to the BBC, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the move would help ensure "terrorists pay the price" for their "heinous acts".
At least 141 people, including 132 children were killed in the Taliban attack on an army-run school on Dec 16.
The decision to establish new courts was taken after political parties of the country held a meeting to discuss a national plan of action to deal with escalating terrorism activities in the country.
The talks hosted by Sharif was attended by members of Pakistan's mainstream political parties.
